Networking and Smart Homes

I've been spending a good amount of time learning about networking, smart homes, and Home Assistant. Its been interesting figuring things out and getting everything set up and configured the way my partner and I would like them. We're still working on a lot of initial set up and if I could go back in time it would be cool to start with things the way we wanted instead of working backwards a bit but we look forward to having everything siloed and secure!

One of the things I'm looking forward to is setting up some automations and really taking advantage the systems we have to fix some small issues around our living space. I'm currently planning one out for our closet and lighting in it which would turn the light on upon entry and then turn it off after a specific amount of time. We'll see how it goes!
